SAFE operates on the generosity of our donors so this is why this page will be updated monthly to thank our donors from each state, province or country for all they have done for children in times of emergencies.
Also included our letters from donors who had a great experience donating to SAFE. We thank you all so very much for what you have done! Working together we can provide comfort to children who need it most!
Jessie Wagner and Liz Steward of North Olmsted, Ohio collected 2,179 stuffed animals to benefit Metro Life Flight of Cleveland, Ohio! Wow! Thank you so much Brian Carr of Metro Life Flight for accepting all these stuffed animals! Brian will be giving these out to sick children on the flights as well as to the children who are patients in their hospital, MetroHealth Medical Center.
Marilyn Melcher and Girl Scout Troop 40218 of Williamsburg, Ohio collected over 900 stuffed animals, books and toys to benefit Highland County Childrens Services for Christmas of 2008. The foster children of Highland County I am sure had a much better Christmas because of your efforts. Thank you so much!
Susan Maynard of Greenfield Area Life Squad, Jason Fauls of Pamida and Jennifer Alloy (Ohio SAFE Chapter) worked together to benefit Secret Santa of Greenfield, Ohio in December 2008. We collected over 900 stuffed animals for the children of Highland County who really needed it most! Thank you to Mrs. Joyce Benner and her 8th grade reading class at Greenfield Middle School who collected 170 of the stuffed animals by themselves! Thank you to all involved and the residents of Highland County for working together to make Christmas a time these children will remember always!
Ann Marie Mayeski and the employees of Cablevision of Newark, New Jersey collected almost 200 stuffed animals to benefit SATH (Supplemental Assistance to the Handicap) and their annual summer camp! Kamp Dovetail is a camp for children with disabilities and they have a carnival during the camp where these stuffed animals will be given away as prizes. Thank you so much Ann and the generosity of the employees of Cablevision, you are making this camp a very memorable experience for some wonderful children!
Elaina Ozrovitz and a local Girl Scout troop of Plantation, Florida collected 1,545 stuffed animals to benefit Broward County Sheriff and Rescue! They will use these to give to children in times of distress such as fires and ambulance runs. Congratulations to the girls on doing a wonderful job to help other children when they can really use the extra comfort!

Tracy with Applied Behavioral Services of Dayton, Ohio and the many students that attend their center for the treatment of autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities, collected over 1,000 stuffed animals to benefit Montgomery County Childrens Services for Christmas in 2008. They did such a great job and really helped a lot of children have a wonderful Christmas. Thank you!
Here is a letter from one of our generous donors who was really happy with her experience with SAFE:
Jennifer~
I just wanted to say 'Thank you' again for doing the research for me and finding a place for us to donate our stuffed animals. I finally was able to talk to Tracey at the Cook Co. Sheriff's office (they had a stuffed animal drive during the month of April 2009) and we are in the midst of getting the local department a big garbage bag full of practically new stuffed animals! I couldn't be happier to see the stuffed animals go somewhere where they will be used positively and hopefully make a difference in the life of some other child!! I love the lesson it's taught my kids, too!
THANK YOU SO much for all your help and I will be in touch again if we can be at all helpful to your organization.
